I have been a photographer all my life. My mom was a model, then teacher and my dad a fire fighter. They were the perfect couple, each being very different in personality and age, but sharing a common love of life and adventure. My brother Jerry and sisters Cathy and Justine had a childhood most kids would dream about. We traveled all over, boating, camping, flying planes, and doing everything else you can imagine. All of these life experiences gave me the inspiration and imagination to eventually become a full time professional photographer. I have photographed over 800 wedding couples from LDS, Ty, Mong, Chinese, Japanese, Catholic, Lutheran, Jewish, Pilipino, Hawaiian, African, Hindu, Pagan, and much more. I have been truly blessed to have been invited to take part in all of these ceremonies and know that what all the couples I have photographed have in common was a love and commitment to share their lived together, no matter what their beliefs are.
I have traveled all over the US and around the world doing what I love to do, taking pictures. There is a feeling that can not be described when you capture people at their best, when they are happy and glowing. Every person you see on my site has told me at one time that they are not good at taking pictures. Nobody is good at getting pictures taken of them if they are not comfortable with the person taking the pictures, and that’s the truth and where I come in. I can find the inner beauty in anyone, no matter who they are, and bring it out in a picture. I make my clients feel like they are movie stars, because to me, they are.
Anybody can take a picture. There are thousands of people in the world claiming to be photographers, but experience, knowledge and loving what you do makes someone a true professional. Knowing before something happens that it might happen, being prepared, and having the right equipment…this is what wedding photography is all about.
